BOC Lawyers Achieve Remarkable $6.4 Million Settlement in Eminent Domain Case for Local Business Owner

Steve Oliver and Kris Fuller headshots

We are very proud of the results Partners, Kris Fuller and Steve Oliver, were able to obtain for our client in a recent settlement. A local business owner had a portion of his property, the entrance to his business, taken for the I-69 project by the State through eminent domain. In August of 2019 the State filed their condemnation action against the property owner. The State made an initial offer of $138,450.00 to the property owner for the taking. Mr. Fuller and Mr. Oliver worked on the case over the next four years, engaging different experts from a variety of fields with some having international experience. While this case lasted longer than most, Mr. Fuller and Mr. Oliver used all the evidence gathered over four years to reach a settlement with the State on behalf of our client in the amount of $6,425,000.00. Our Firm was thrilled to get our clients such a great result.

Celebrating this milestone, BOC Lawyers continues to advocate for property owners’ rights. If you’re facing a similar situation, contact us to see how our experienced team can help secure the best possible outcome for you.
