Tonisha M. Jarrett
Attorney, Certified Family Law Specialist in Indiana, by the Family Law Certification Board
Tonisha Jarrett is a dedicated and experienced attorney with a strong foundation in family law. She was licensed to practice law in 2014, the same year she opened her own private practice. Early in her career, she served as a public defender, representing clients in juvenile and adult criminal matters while also handling private divorce and adoption cases. Her work during this time reflected her passion for justice and her commitment to supporting families in transition.
A native of Martinsville, Indiana, Tonisha graduated from Martinsville High School in 2003. She went on to attend Indiana University in Bloomington, where she earned her undergraduate degree in 2008. She continued her education at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, graduating in 2013.
In 2019, Tonisha joined the respected law firm of Boren, Oliver & Coffey, LLP. Her leadership, skill, and client-centered approach led to her becoming a partner in the firm in 2023. That same year, she earned her certification as a Family Law Specialist, Certified by the Family Law Certification Board, solidifying her focus on cases involving divorce, custody, child support, and adoption. Among her most rewarding work is representing families in foster care adoptions—cases she approaches with both legal skill and heartfelt compassion. Tonisha is also a registered mediator and finds pleasure in finding creative solutions for families.
Tonisha is married and the proud mother of three children. When she’s not in the office or courtroom, she can be found cheering from the sidelines at her children’s basketball and lacrosse games or wrangling her three mischievous dogs. Her ability to balance a thriving legal career with a busy family life speaks to her discipline, warmth, and unshakable dedication to the people she serves.
